Easter Meet Prize Winners

Each year the Fellowship awards the Alwyn Taylor Jubilee Trophy for best article which appear in the Journal and The Bert Williams Trophy for the best sketch which appear in the journal. If any member would like to join the judging panel for these awards please contact the Editor.

 

2005 Prize-Winners

The prize winners for 2005 are as follows:

Henk Francino wins the Alwyn Taylor Jubilee Trophy for best article with, “A Lead Grey Mystery Tour”

Among judges comments were... Henk always manages to write poetically, putting in the curious details which hit the spot. What brilliant prose!  Atmospheric writing, conjures up ghosts of the past.

Runners up were;

A Vagabond, “The Extensive East”

Among judges comments were... Serene as ever. A real enthusiasm for nature. Once again, many thanks to the writer for taking the trouble to share her knowledge.

Brenda Warner, “Bealach Brittle”

Among judges comments were... Brenda captures what it was like to be there, particularly in the delicious description of the path through the woods.

 

The Bert Williams Trophy goes to Brenda Warner for her sketch, “Glen Brittle River Crossing”.
